Why You Should Purchase From Locally Owned Business
The first reason to stop and shop locally is to help keep dollars in the local economy. It is really simple. Locally owned business recycle a bigger share of their revenue back into the local economy, especially when you compare them to the big chain stores and shopping malls.
The second big reason to stop and shop locally is to support local jobs and provide better wages. Locally owned businesses support the creation of more local jobs.
The list of reasons goes on and on. Next time you are wanting to head out the door and drive to the nearest "big box" or shopping mall, stop and think about supporting local business...your support is needed.
If the people of an average American City (Los Alamitos is larger than the average city) were to shift 10% of their spending from large chains & big box stores to local businesses, it would bring an additional $235 Million per year to the community's economy.
For every $100 spent in locally owned independent stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. If you spend that same $100 in a national chain in town, less than $43 stays here.
Spend somewhere else or online and nothing comes back to Los Alamitos.
Shopping Local makes our community stronger.
